Dating apps make things easy, if you want to start a conversation just swipe right! When you see someone in person that interests you, however, it isn’t that easy. Spice and I had this conversation about how great it would be if you could just swipe right in person, clearly letting the person know you are interested. Of course, there is the added complication of when you swipe right on them it’s actually their left and so they may be confused for a split second about whether you actually swiped right or left on them, but that’s beside the point. They would get the clear signal that you were interested, the ice would be broken, and you could easily start a fun conversation. Of course both of us felt silly and wouldn’t do this in real life, or would we?
A fun weekend in Vegas soon followed, a few cocktails later by the pool there was a cute guy who glanced our way a few times. We made our way over to his side of the pool, smiled, looked welcoming, but he didn’t come over to say hi. Spice decided to take the matter into her own hands. She strolled over to him took her right finger and mid-air right swiped him, right in front of his chest. The look on his face was priceless! “Did you just right swipe me!?” he said. “Yep,” Spice responded and they both started laughing. He LOVED it, they talked, got to know each other and the rest of the story stays in Vegas. . .
Moral of the story: you can meet someone online or in person. Why follow the typical parameters to meet someone? Step out of the comfort zone and right swipe in person, why not!?
